Default Speedometer calibration

Does anyone know if you can calibrate the speedometer on an 07 touring. My buddy put a smaller rear sprocket on his bike and his speedo is about 5 mph faster than the rest of us, and there are times he can't set his cruise control if we are riding 80+?

Sure can, but you need a device to do so. Something like Dakota Digital unit.

What about a OEM speedo? My bike didn't come with one, so I bought one with 11,000 miles on it and it is off by 10-20mph...the dealer says no, but I am not buying it..

...or send it to HD for calibration. Not sure what this costs, but I've been told the service is available. I have no direct experience with this, so consider it a rumor until someone reports he has done it.

When calibrating with the TTS, does increasing the value of the calibration number make the speedometer read faster or slower?
Thanks

Does he have Harley race tuner (SERT)?? Have Jimmy Moen at SL HD run TTS Master Tune qualifier report and then you can send it off to them for an update, $100 plus shipping. http://www.mastertune.net/SERTUpgrade.html You need to get a RMA form fr. them sales@ttspowersystems.com before shipping. I should have mine back next week. Thanks Jim Dawson above for his advice.

Increasing the value reduces the speedometer reading.
