Does anyone have a Ridemaxx install CD from American Micro Fuel Devices? I have lost my CD and if someone could make me a copy and ship it to me, I will gladly pay them $20 + the cost of shipping to Canada. I realize that AMFD is out of business but I still use the device and make my own custom maps but my old laptop is failing and I lost the original install CD. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.

Just sharing my latest RideMaxx experience. I posted this a couple of days ago:
Well, it finally bit me. I have been running a ridemaxx tuner for a couple of years now with no trouble at all and in fact really liked the tune, but two days ago, it put me on the side of the road. Fortunately I was close to home after a long day of riding and was able to walk to my house, get my truck and trailer and load up my bike. Yesterday I finally had a chance to troubleshoot and the first thing I did was remove the ridemaxx tuner and my scoot fired right up. From other posts you can find (and I started one of the first ones) it appears they are out of business and no contact information. Lesson learned, but I do want to encourage anyone who may be running it still, to be careful. My first hint that something may have been going bad was that for the past few weeks, and not everytime, my bike was slow in firing up. I chalked it up to hot weather here in MS and ethanol fuel, but it happened twice this past Friday and the final event was when I was slowing down to turn up the country road on which I live. My bike went dead and would not fire after that. You know the rest of the story. So again, if you are still using a ridemaxx tuner and your bike gets slow to fire, be careful.
I ran a ridemaxx on 08 RK since June of 2010. It ran well, esp at low throttle settings and ran up the scale pretty smooth, too. . Then, with starting problems, I removed the ridemaxx. Problem turned out to be the compensator... I throw the ridemaxx back on and I am getting check engine lights and the starting is not firing crisply. I have ran it for the bulk of 2011 with out a tuner, just a pipe and a K&N. - runs a little rough, but I have got tankfulls of 50 mpg. I want to cool it down and richen it up before Sturgis....lookin at the dobek/techlusion system. I had one on a 2001 Beemer 1150 RT and it did work wonders on that bike. I don't want to spend a ton of time and $$$ on dyno's. I don't wheelie - I want cooler, smoother running with a nice fat midrange - and keep my gas mileage. Terry components I'd consider, as well. The ridemax is out, for me. I may throw it on one more time and if it starts slow or registers a check engine lite, I'll destroy it. Can't stand throwin away $350 bucks, though.
I decided to switch to the DynoJet Power Vision. Since the Canadian Postal workers went on strike, it's stuck at the border but they went back to work today so I should see it Thursday or Tuesday.

I know the thread is old, I just had a starting problem for the first time, but figured it was worth commenting since I bet this will happen to others...

FWIW,
I've had a RideMaxx on my 05FLHTCI since 2008. With the nice Ohio weather the past few weeks, I've been riding, but noticed rougher and slower starting. Two hours ago, I went to start up, had a backfire and then nothing.
She had spark, fuel at the tank outlet and no Diag codes. I pulled the Ridemaxx and she started right up.
I just hope when I put the RideMaxx back on to test, it doesn't fire-up or I have something else wrong, but that's a weekend project, at least I got her home.
I tossed my ridemaxx. made my 08 run like ****. I went to the dobeck techlusion and if you see their site about load based tech and want to fill in the lean spots, it is a great unit. easy to install, good for low and midrange and no dyno time. uses your stock map, just tricks it into giving the bike a little more gas at part and low throttle openings. May not be for the turbos, strokers motors, but for this makes my 08 RK run like I want it to. Well worth the $$$ and easy to install

Ride Safe
Update,
I was thinking "Maybe the problem is, something happened to the map"?, but I didn't want to wait for the weekend just to test it.
I put the RideMaxx in and took it out several times, the Glide wouldn't start with it in, and fired right up with it out.
