I pulled the plug on the crankcase and got exactly 8 oz of oil out. Is this a sumping condition or not? I'm certainly over the 6oz that most places cite. BTW: I'm chasing a top end noise problem.
I would say, you are not sumping...and i would look elsewhere for the noise...top end noise could be from, low oil pressure (doubtful at that RPM range), lifters, loose push rods (did you use adjustables??)..or just it might just be normal and you are overthinking it...just how noisy is it..my bike (103) with se255 is slightly noisy in the top end, at mid- RPMs...andI hear alot of the 103s are noisy in that rpm range....
