hey guys, your being a little HARSH on Pitt.

Hey if I had a Lemon, I sure wouldn't be making lemonade with it...I'd be pretty upset as well. He's
waiting for HD to come out with a fix. On the last 2007 tranny poll, there are LOT'S of bikes with issues.

I'm glad I'm not one............

Pitt, I think I'd ask how much for a trade in?????? if you lose $500........that might be a good trade IMO.

I know how he feels, I had a 2004 Ford F-250 6.0, the truck spent more time in the shop than on the road.......... I got fed up with it and now drive a 2006 F-350 6.0 (i still didn't learn...LOL) 13k not oner day in shop or any problem (knocking on wood)
Hey rmarion, not trying to hijack the thread, but my 2004 F250 has been in the shop 6 times in the last 8 months last two times thy pulled the motor and put on new heads POS if you ask me.

I agree withwhat you say. Ipurchased one of these nightmares 2007 Ultra, e.g. rattles, knocks, vibration/s, overheating, oil leaks not to mention, all the lies from the dealers and MOCO that came with it, e.g."That's Normal" - "I Don't Feel Any Vibration" - " I Don't Here Any Clatter" - "Suppose To Run HOT" etc. and the list goes on. Just keep posting your experiences about this junk anywhere you can, and maybe with combined effort of many other disgruntled owners we'll keep others from buying this junk.

I love the brake squeal problems. Mine quit squealing at about 15,000 miles and is just fine. At least people knew when I was stopping.

So it's always the same 3 who jump on the guy who just wants his bike to be like theirs - perfect. We all spent the same amount on them. Why can't I have a completely quiet ride like yours? And if I want HD to make it like yours, why does that put such a bug up your a$$? When I went in to the dealer to buy this monster, they didn't tell me it was russian roulette. That I might get a perfect motorcycle or I might not. I went in expecting to get the perfect motorcycle and it's 99% right. One percent off.

I'm beginning to think modavater, bountyhunter, SMT,and hd2007 are the same HD employee. You can spew more hate than anyone else I've seen on the forum. Why? What does that get you?
Inquiring minds want to know....

I really don't want to stop others from buying these bikes. The last thing we need is a manufacturer that can't afford to resolve this. I wish they had it figured out so we could have ours taken care of and that way the others wouldn't have to whine and bellyache about us. The dealers aren't real helpful either. I don't understand why they dont take this issue seriously and at least take the bikes apart to check them. Especially if it is only one or two bikes per dealer (like is thrown around here so many times). I mean it would seem to me that it's easy money for them, as Harley pays them for warranty work, right? But just blowing off the customer with the "it's normal" BS is stupid.

Remember the dealers have to do what the mother ship tells them.Right now the word is no problem, its normal, what noise?I agree that we shouldnt be expected to live w/this.There has beenSBs on what they call customer satisfaction.Boy this one would do some good! Some dealerswill actually do what ever for their customers, but Im sure some stipulation is put on the owner.

I was at a dealership yesterday. The salesman was looking to buy himself a '07 rk custom that had just made its way to the floor. I own a '05 rk custom and love my bike, so I chatted it up with him. He didn't know any of the stuff about the '07's thatI have read here. Nothing. I was shocked. I told him everything thatI have read here, from the heat issue to the front break sqeal, and how to correct it. This guy was completely clueless. At the end of our talk, I wrote down the web address for this site, and told him to check it out. Finished up by saying "Do you want me to go get the paperwork for you, so we can get you out riding this bad boy today?" I then turned to the wife and said, "ya know, I should be working here". Maybe I just might do that. Any idea if these guys get a discount on parts?

BTW, I am taking my bike in tomorrow to have the rotors swapped. My brakes don't sqeal anymore since they filled the wheel with some type of foam. But, I figure it is best to just have ot done now while the bike is still under warranty. The service writer told me that they wont do "service bullitins" if the bike is out of warranty. Is that true? Seems to me they should still be liable regardless of the warranty status.
