Could someone got the torque for the compensator nut and the clutch hub nut mixed up? It let loose at it's weakest point were the spline is radiused down and into the larger press area for the inner primmary bearing. Could be just the picture but at 2 o-clock there appears to be an old crack slightly deeper then the spline running for about 5 splines.

I have a 5 speed gear set with almost 0 miles on it. It was replaced with a SE 6 speed gear set. It has the shift pawls, shift shaft, clutch pushrod, bearings, drum and everything ready to go and in perfect condition. The door is natural finish because in was in an Electra Glide standard but you can swap that out if you need. I can email you pics of everything if you're interested. Whats a fair price?
I just bought a gear set off of ebay with 9800 miles for $150.00. I could get the drum, shift shaft and pawls for another $25.00. That was the buy it now price. The opening bid on it and another set was $125.00.

It was cracked for a while at 5 & 11 o'clock. It was polished smooth there. There are some other cracks as well.
I know that the torque values weren't mixed up. I just replaced the stator about 2,000 miles before and the torque was dead on with my dial type torque wrench that was recently checked for calibration.
I started using the puller I borrowed from the shop, but I found it was easier to dremel it off like posted above. The puller's threads were not so hot and was slipping so I finished it off with the dremel.
So what do you use to install the race? I don't know that I can get the installation tool without buying the whole kit...
