Just went for a ride on my 2011 Street Glide with the new wind splitter windshield.
I love it! Pretty much fixed the buffeting issue for me. Including at about 70 on the highway. I still get a little bit of air, but it is a MAJOR improvement over stock. No more bouncy vision.
I'm 5'9, 30 inch inseam if that helps anyone looking for a new windshield.
the issue I have with that shield is that you cant use the 3 bag pouches with it and it doesn't get the wind any higher over your head than a stock shield....... and it costs an arm and a leg.
I guess I am biased because I make shields, but in my opinion Harley was trying to make something that looked cool but im not convinced about its functionality.
The 2011 SG stock seat is pretty good for the rider after a few hundred miles are on it. I upped to the sundowner, and its not a huge improvement and makes it a little harder to reach the ground cause it's wider.
The real bang for the sundowner is the passenger comfort.

Do you look well over the shield or is it in line with your vision? Thanks for the info. Rick

I own one and I think it is OK for what it is.
I don't understand what you mean? That it doesn't push the wind up any higher than a stock shield. My stock Street glide shield is a straight 4 inch. This is 7" with a recurve at the top. No disrespect intended here, just a question? I haven't purchased a new shield yet but its definately my very next investment. I like the wind or I wouldn't be riding a motorcycle. I just don't like not being able to wear my glasses without having to have a band to hold them on my face, nor do I like the wind directed right up my nostrils.
