Sounds like a great idea. Does this interfere with the detachable tour pack cables, or can it be easily removed when taking the tour pack off?
It plugs in under the seat in two places. I think you will just be able to disconnect those two cables (and maybe reconnect the stock connectors together so the stock turn signals work??) and be good to go.
Not sure about htis though so check it out before buying.
I installed this cable this past weekend. It turns the corner lamps on the Tour Pak into turn sigals and brake lights.
It was an easy install (about 40 minutes) and it was all plug and play. The hardest part was getting the Tour Pak liner back in properly!
Works great and just makes the Bike that much more visible.
i was also looking at doing this, on my 10 ultra the corner lights on my T/P are running and braking, no turn signal, i noticed you mentioned braking and turn signal on yours, did you not have the braking signal before the cable?
Here's a write-up with pictures of the installation of the kit (not sure of the difference between the first version of the kit and the OP's "A" version; HD changes p/n's for reasons that aren't always obvious):
I had this installed on my 2011 Limited along with the Run/Turn signal kit at the dealer. The dealer is now out of business. The thing that bugs me, my rear red turn signals come on when I turn the ignition switch to accessory. The headlight is off, the front turn signals a are off, but the rear come in as I said. Any ideas? I don't think it should be that way.
Mine stay on also in accessory mode. Typical Harley with nothing standard year to year. Gonna take the kit back and get a custom dynamics set up. Their set up is much better and the LEDS are easier to see.
