I am writing this from a hospital bed after having a brain aneurysm on Staturday. Changed my whole trip plans for this month, but it could have been worst and someone could be writing about me instead.
I am and will get better and enjoy those rides even more.
Here in Eastern Canada, the spring has been awful. It's been colder than normal and quite wet, so I haven't been out to ride much. Was looking forward to nicer weather, going to Laconia in June, etc. On April 28th, my Dr dropped a bomb on me and diagnosed me with Hodgkins Lymphoma. I currently feel perfect, but on Monday, I'll be having my first of 6 mos of Chemo treatments. On the good side, we caught this relatively early, nothing has spread to organs or anything, and it is 98% curable, so no big worries for the long term. Everyone reacts a bit different to the treatment, but I've heard of lots of people who still feel decent, and I'm hoping to still get some rides in! Oh well, look at all the money I'll save on tires and gas!
I am very sorry to hear about your illness and hope the treatment will be all a success for you. Good Luck!
VERY sorry to hear the bad news....I don't think we can tell you how to feel or what you're going thru...but hope is the best thing. Worry about riding when you're cured and feeling better...it can wait
