Here's why I recommend peroxide. Sprayed it on, fairing looked like the head on a well poured beer. Most of the bugs disappeared. Sprayed it on the crash bars, front fender, every forward exposed part. The saddlebags were even nasty. This was a trip to Deadwood in the spring. It did take two applications but no skanky bug smelling towel to deal with. Just hosed it off.
After fighting love bugs for years, a friend of mine told me to try a dryer sheet, you know Bounce, or one of those. He said to wet the area then using a dry dryer sheet, wipe, not rub, and the bugs will just disolve. And no, I didn't believe him.
But he was right, it does work. Just keep the area wet, and wipe the sheet over the area, then rinse with clean water. You can even spray with Pledge when you are finished.

DAYUM..Some of those "bugs" might of been birds!!!! LOL.....
Mix hydrogen peroxide 50/50 with water in a spray bottle. Spray it on, let it sit for a minute and wipe them off. Don't bother with anything else, works fantastic.

I use Maguires Quick detail wax in between total wash and wax, works great and with micro fiber towel bugs come right off and keeps the bike looking Great too
