Unhappy Braided Cables Installed, Now Shifting Problems
Hopefully someone can shed some insight?? I recently had new Bars installed and went with Braided cables (+6). Now it has become very hard to shift gears...Hard to get into Neutral-unless the bike is off or you rev the throttle before coming to a stop. Also takes more pressure to upshift from 1st to 2nd, 3rd.. and downshift as well. NEVER had this issue before. Bike is a 2006 with 18K on the clock. Ideas?? I don't want the Dealer where the work was done, to give me any BS!! Running Belray in the Tranny, Amsoil in the other two holes. THANKS!!

Sounds like you may need to do a clutch adjustment on both the cable and clutch pack. Very simple to do both.

Yup, sounds like a simple clutch adjustment.

Yup, yup, yup. Adjust that clutch. Get cha a manual if you don't already have one.
