Default headpipes

got an '11 FLHTK. Headpipes have cats? A friend has a set of headpipes off '09 streetglide w/o cats. does anyone know if they will bolt up and work?

They will bolt right up and work just fine... However the O2 sensor bung hole size and location is different on the 09 to the 11. You will have to either weld in new bungs and plug the old ones or go with a tuner that doesn't use the O2 sensors or has Autotune like the PCV has.

Your 11 has cats. The difference between the two pipes is that the 02 sensors are different and different locations. You would have to do some modding.

I am considering doing this myself. Can anyone from the bay area recomend a good shop to have this done at? also what price to expect.

Keep in mind that the typical shop won't touch this (it's not exactly "Kosher" if you catch my drift). And keep in mind that if you're in an area where you're emission-tested, you're going to wind up out of compliance.
