Which mount did you use? I can't tell from the picture. You remember the part number?

Interesting Mount location...

I mounted my Iphone 4 using the Otterbox Deffender belt clip. I got a second belt clip and mounted a RAM diamond plate with ball to the back of the clip. (just drilled the clip so I could put the 2 bolts thru diamond plate.)

Just made sure I have enough slack in the wire to tuck it into my windshield bag so the connector doesent start rusting out.

When not in use, I push the Poly wire back through the handlebar/dash panel opening. It coils up in the left hand side underneath the dash panel. Protected from the elements and out of sight.

Yep, thanks guys. Put my order in for the necessaries of the job today. Total out just under 100 bucks. Not bad for a great set up.

I never really looked at the back of the Harmon/Kardon system. Once its plugged in (assuming that the RCA cables are used) do you access your tunes via the AUX setting, just like when you plug in from the headphone jack to the port on the front of the radio?

I like your set up, and may go this route minus the RAM mount.

Thanks for posting and giving us a viable option for our iPhones.
I am not using the RCA cables. I just put some heat shrink on them and tucked them under the seat where they cannot be seen and are out of the elements. I simply use the 3.5 stereo jack in the front of the radio. It's convenient and hardly noticeable.

When I want to use my iPhone for NAV or iPod I have to have the radio set to AUX. Then because I wired it to the ACC connector under the seat I have to have the ACC button on the dash switched on so my phone will charge while using it on the bike.

I noticed a lot of guys complaining about not being able to see the iPhone display in the sunlight. I would make sure that you are not using polarized sunglasses. Polarized sunglasses do not work well with the iPhone in the sun. Also, there are anti-glare screen protectors that are very cheap and work well for curing this problem too.

I mounted mine to the left handlebar, as I didn't want to drill holes on the dash, yet... I have built-in bluetooth headset on my Nolan helmet, so it connects wireless; no hooking up to the bike's radio. I did plug in a flush USB charger to the cig lighter and plug the factory apple data cable to it when I need to charge the phone. At the end of the day, all is removeable with nothing exposed (except for the small ball mount on the handlebar.
