Default NEED Your thought's on carb vs EFI

Hi Bro's,well I'm fix en to go from carb to EFI.I hear alot of horror stories, about harley's fuel injection, and I know alot of you have been where I am now,so what is the truth,as far as your experience, is with this.I'm keeping my 01,so if this thing goes south I know what I have in that bike.Would appreciate anything ya'll can tell me,because I know nobody knows more about this.Thank's and summer is on the way. 2001 FLHT 1550. 2010 limited 107 Fuel Moto.

i think the efi is awesome as long as u dont have a problem, for every 10 problems u hear about how many 1000"s of trouble free miles do u not hear of?trouble shooting the basics is not that difficult most of the time, however on rare ocasions u will get the one that even harleys digital tech wont figure out but i think thats even rarer.

Yup I'm with you, FI is awesome. It's rare for a problem to pop up and even rarer for one to be unsolvable.

I've got 80,000 trouble free miles. IMO easier to tune for power and fuel efficiency. My FB gets just under 50 MPG on the highway and puts down just under 100 FT/LB RWTQ. I personally haven't heard any horror stories about HD's FI and would be curious to know what problems others have had.
