the wife says she needs something in the way of lumbar support, is there some kind of tour pak backrest with lumbar support available for my 2010 ultra classic? or any kind of modification that can be made to the stock backrest.
On my 2010 Limited, I removed the backrest pad, unstitched it, opened it up and removed the foam paper that was inside. I inserted some high density foam from the local craft store and hand stitched it back closed. A bit labor intensive, I must say.

In addition to that, I received a similar response in another thread I posted. Someone opened the backrest pad, added the foam padding as well as a large blood pressure cuff. They folded the BP cuff in half and put it in the pad, leaving the ball pump hanging out of the pad. They also stated that they had a leather worker install a zipper in the top of the pouch instead of stitching it back up. Seems like a great way tto adjust the lumbar support...I will be doing the same when I order my tour pak.
I Bought a HD picnic blanket. Kind of a roll up with ballistic nylon on the out side and cotton or fleece on the inside. Has the HD logo and I got it at the dealer. $20.00. In its rolled state it fills the gap between the rear seat and the tour pack. The back rest pad kind of covers it. She likes it and it keeps the draft out on cooler rides. Can't find it on line or the big book...
We tried many things before doing a major upgrade to the pad and ended up using a towel that is rolled up and tucked befind the pad. Towel is black just like the bike and the pad. Can hardly see it unless you are really looking and my precious cargo is happy and comfy!!! Decided to not do anything but wash and dry the towel, then put it back in there.
