Sorry you are going thru that. Very frustrating. Sounds like you got one of those rare ones that just don't have the quality we expect from the MOCO these days.

How often does this happen? If it's more than once in 10,000, Harley has a problem.

I'm still liking my 06 Ultra, my 2010 Trike sucks when I think about all the **** I had to straighten out just so it would work right. I've ridden the newer stuff and I'm not impressed so I'm sticking with what I have.

Did you put the heat shields on before or after bolting the head pipe to the bike?
I've heard people saying each way has it's advantages.

Thanks

I must have been one lucky SOB when i first got my Harley i was kinda worried because i bought a rental bike. i figured it would be beaten up from people riding it like they stole it. but to tell you the truth, i have had nothing but good times on that scooter. it has never broken down on me and all the chrome bolted on with very little to no issues. i think of getting a new scooter every now and then, but when i look at everything i have down to my scooter, i think i have a better scooter than a CVO... i was really happy i got my 08 Ultra. only thing i wish i had were ABS and the wider tire... but for a 110.00 a month bike payment, i can live without it...

sorry for your trouble bro
