Default Jackpot exhaust

After trying my best to quiet down my Fatcat, I decided to punt. I got a screaming deal on a pair of Carbon Billet mufflers, and ordered a coated 2:1:2 headpipe direct from FuelMoto. Jamie was a huge help on the phone, and was a pleasure to talk to.

Got everything installed today and ran a few heat cycles. Tomorrow I'll start working on a new TTS map and hopefully go for a ride to see how it sounds and feels. My first impression at idle is that it's much quieter than the Fatcat.

More as I work through this, but so far I'm impressed.

I just replaced my 4" Screamin' Eagle Performance Touring mufflers and stock head pipe/cat with a set of 4" Jackpot Slash up Dyno Tuned mufflers and the Jackpot HTC 2-1-2 Headpipe and it's a great setup. Jamie was great to work with as well.

I VTuned today, and swapped over to one of the new .mt8 maps. Good stuff, I'm very happy with the tone.

I made the VTune run of my life this morning....Not a soul on the roads, I was able to hit cells that I've never hit before. Unfortunately the f-n netbook decided to stop communicating with the bike.

So I did a couple other runs, but they weren't as special. I think I need a couple decent ones without traffic; maybe tomorrow morning, and I'll have the fuel set. Then I can start with timing.

I'm pleased with the stuff. The coated headpipe sheds heat as well as the coated Fatcat did. There's real value in ceramic coating. I like the look and the sound of the Carbon Billet mufflers, and I think Chip's spot-on about the slash-up tips. They don't reflect against the pavement nearly as much as the slash-downs. At cruise and below 2000 rpm, the bike's nearly silent...Like carry on a conversation without screaming silent. Get into it, and it barks pretty nicely.

It's hard to say though about power. It feels soft. Part of that was the tune I had on the Fatcat. When you've got one of the best dyno guys in the country doing your tune, it's gonna be hard to top that. I also think that the lack of sound makes me think it's slower. I'd be really curious to take a trip up to Bethlehem and see how the two setups compare.

At any rate, two big thumbs up for the Jackpot stuff.

They look great on your bike. I got the same ones and love the look on my pearl metallic black Ultra Classic. Just my $.02, but they are a little louder than I'd prefer, but they're okay.

Looks great. I've heard it's impossible to beat the Fatcat for power so it isn't that surprising it feels a little softer with the x pipe.

I feel your v-tuning pain. I wish I lived out in the country just for those occasions!

I'm gonna try something different with the tuning. I think I can fix the "softness" I'm feeling.

Thanks Jamie. I've played around with some of the tuning constants in the TTS, and I think I've fixed most of the issue. The fuel's sorted, I just need to make some time and start playing with the timing.
