2400 miles. Its still brand new. Order the TP from a 20% off on line dealer. Install it yourself as its easy. It won't cost any 2K either. I did my 08 for around $1100. If you really want a fairing. Look for a used 1 and get it painted to match. Best of both worlds. Basically the same bike. Now go put some miles on that bike and enjoy it. I think the Road King is the best ride in the touring line.... except maybe the Shark nose.
Just got back from the dealer. Pulled the trigger on the tourpak for my 09 Road King. King tourpak, 2 up mounting bracket (I already have the 4 point docking system), wrap around smooth stich backrest, premium tour pac rack and keyed alike lock (to match original key) - $1160

This forum is a dangerous place to hang!
Sounds to me like we saved you $4000+!!
Now go spend it on chrome, strippers and whiskey.... then waste the rest of it.
I'd say go test ride the '11 Electra Glide, then make your decision. RK's & EGC's are very different bikes and one will stand out as better for you in short order. While I respect everyone's opinion, that's all you'll get from a forum- other people's opinions, and IMO that's pretty much worthless for a decision such as this. I've ridden RK's and while I think they're great bikes and sexy as hell, there's no way I'd take one over my EGC. Each bike has its good points, and for me the Electra Glide had more of 'em.
Personally I'd have no problem putting out an extra $45/month for a new EGC with a warranty, batwing, Tour Pack, stereo, etc., but that's me.
Pretty obvious if you have a 2 year old scoot with only 2400 miles you aint riding anyway especially long trips so do your self a favor and keep it in the garage where it has been all this time anyway. If you need to ask such a ridiculous question expect an honest answer. Of course if you got the cash to **** away read threads about RUBS.
Ok - I'll say it, ride the sh#t out of your RK. Apples & oranges don't compare, ride a batwing and decide yourself - not being an a-hole here but you might as well ask who likes red or blue??
