Going to be w/o transportation for a couple of days while Jamie installs his 107 kit on my scoot. Anyone have a suggestion for a hotel that 1) has motorcycle parking; and 2) is close to eating and drinking establishments?
I guess it's Country Inn and Suites. I was leaning that way, and was going to call Jamie to ask him. Now I don't have to. Thanks for not letting me waste his time. Now I'd better get a reservation for the 8th.
What ever you do , don't stay at the Radisson in Appleton.
We decided to stay in appleton so we could take in some of the local night life. After we checked in I let the wife take our bag up to the room and I went over to park my bike. As I pulled up to the radissons parking garage the attendant came out of her booth waving her arms, NO BIKES ALLOWED ON HOTEL PROPERTY! So I go back to the front desk and ask for a refund so I can go somewhere else but since my wife had already went up to the room they would not refund the money. I ended up parking in another parking ramp about 2 blocks away. I didn't sleep much that night even though nothing happened to my ride. But I give the Radisson a 1 out of 5 ( I would give a lower score if possible). Their attittude didn't help either. I say Screw the Damned Radisson!
There was Motel row about 5 miles away from Little Chute. There were bars, restaurants, and movie theaters nearby and the lodging was much better priced. The hotel near F.M.'s shop likes their rooms a little to much for me.
Holiday Inn 150 S Nicolet Rd Appleton, WI 920-735-9955
I used to purchase our fire trucks from Pierce just south of there past Prospect on American Dr. Always excellent accomodations. Indoor pool, pub and grille on site, fitness center, internet.
They have a special room but just for Pierce customers for a huge breakfast every morning. If you go there, ask to check out the Pierce breakfast room. Lot's of FD memorabila and FD patches from around the world.
Plus just north of there is the Fox River Mall which has a pretty good brewery bar called Fratellos with good food.
