Just thought I would put out a few lines on Fastaire. I talked to the owner on Tuesday after having some issues with other shield companies. He shipped me a new sheild 6" and it arrived two days later. Right away, you can see the quality difference between this and his competitors. This shield is MUCH thicker and more rigid. On the bike, it does a GREAT job. I have had a 6.5 Klockwerks that cost almost twice as much for the past few months. This sheild does just as good a job (if not better) at half the price. I highly recommend looking at Fastaire if you are looking to upgrade your current sheild!
How tall are you, and how well did it work out.
I am trying to find a replacment that is not as tall ask stock but provides wind protection.
I have had my 2011 Ultra Limited for just less than one month and I have already bought 2 windshields from FastAire. The company was recommended to me by friends. I ordered a 9" med grey windshield, which has great quality and went on the bike very easily. After riding around with it for a couple of weeks I decided to change out to a 10" which would be the best height for me. With FastAire's low prices I could afford to buy the replacement and put the 9" on the shelf.
When the second windshield arrived, very quickly by the way, it cracked during my install (still not sure how it happened) and I certainly don't want to leave anyone with the impression that FastAire isn't selling quality stuff; it was simply a freak thing. Sent a couple Pics by email to the owner Jim and received an email back in less than a hour, at an ungodly time of night I should add. After a couple of back-and-forth emails with Jim trying to determine what happened, Jim decided to send me a replacement free of charge.
I was already happy with the quality, pricing, and quick shipping I experienced with FastAire, but the customer service I received from Jim has made me a customer for life. I highly recommend this company for your windshield needs. I will be sure to tell every Harley owner I meet about this company.
