Default 2011 Ultra Classic vs limited

I'm sure there are threads on this but could not find them. Is the limited worth the extra money vs the classic? I rode both this weekend. I have been riding 25 years plus without ABS are they worth the xtra money? What does the oil cooler do? Thanks for the input

I traded my 07 Ultra Classic on my 2011 Limited. IF you plan on any engine upgrades, the limited with the 103 is worth it alone, not to mention the ABS, seccurity, heated grips, different paint lines, Titanium gauge faces,12 volt port in tour pack, it really is a no brainer for me because I put all that stuff on my 07,(except ABS).

If you like extra cheese on your burger get the LTD.If you wanna save $1000's and have a fantastic bike the Ultra is great.Really great as a 1yr. used garage queen with all the goodies already on there.

I think it's well worth the extra money. Plus I like the looks of the Limited better than the Ultra Classic. The limited doesn't have the big bumper on the front fender and doesn't have the chrome rails around the saddlebags. I think it looks less Geezer than the Limited. I traded my 10 EGC in on the 11 Limited and love the 103" motor.

I love my 2011 Limited. I traded an '09 Road King for it and had mixed feelings about doing it. Those feelings quickly changed after I rode the Limited for a couple of days.

It's the best handling and riding bike I've ever owned. The passenger comfort is supreme for the wife. I love the 103, heated grips, and ABS.
All the other little perks add up to make it a great buy in my opinion.

I recently got an Ultra, the limited just wasn't worth it to me. I still like the old school look of the Ultra, the bumper guards, the saddle bag rails, and if I wanted more cubic inches, I'd go 107 from Fuel Moto for a lot less money. Compare the HP and torque.

Oil coolers are nice, and inexpensive, but I've been riding down here in Florida since 1970 an and the only thing that has given me a heat problem was the catylitic converter that used to be on my Ultra.

With that said, the reason there are so many different makes and models is because we all have different wants and check books. Both bikes will ride the same, and I doubt if you will really notice that much difference in the power.

Absolutely. If you add up all the Limited features it's not really much "extra money".

Is the name not self explanatory? It cools your engine oil.
