Can you post a little larger picture? Is it two tone paint scheme or single color?
Paid too much?? I spend a lot of time researching "fair value" of all my significant purchases. Once the deal's done....it's done. Have never spent one minute rethinking a purchase especially a motorcycle. We're not talking about life changing dollars here.
I can't imagine a real friend telling me I paid too much and what value do you assign to that of a total stranger?
Deals come and go.... one mans deal is the next guy's hosin'.... its all relative.... I bought an '03 RK last Spring for my brother, it had 3600 total miles on it with only 600 miles on a stout 95 S&S build, a S&S 6 speed tranny, Barnett clutch pack, etc. I gave $11000 cash for it... I happened to be standing in the right place at the right time and was able to write a check for it.... hell his shop bill for the motor, tranny, clutch, etc. work was over $9K.... his wife didn't want to ride anymore........ I would have kept the bike...
The only thing I have done to it is swap out those junk '03 front brake calipers for a set of '06's...........
That bike is worth exactly as much money as you were willing to pay for it. That is the bottom line on pricing. Enjoy the ride and don't worry about wouda, couda, shouda.
WTFE...ya'll know what ya can do with your kelly & NADA.They're guidelines, period. Most people still figure their car, truck, boat, motorcycle by condition, add ons, mileage, etc. Hell,go to a Harley dealer that has a nice clean low mileage 100th anniversary...I doubt you'll buy it for 10.
Course I see some of you that thinks he overpaid. all ride brand spankin new Harleys!
You are right, they are guide lines. But guidelines that insurance company's go by when determining value. They dont care how much chrome it has or how many add on's it has. A seller cant expect to recoup his money on all the add on's. I could give a $hit less what he paid for it, he's the one that asked though. Bottom line, he paid too much for it. And yes, I ride a brand spankin new Harley. What's that got do do with it? Jealous?
Just bought a 2003 anniversary Road King Classic that is all chromed out with cruise control in near perfect condition with 32,000 miles on it. Was $12,500 too much to pay?
