Congrats on the new scoot. I agree with the others, if you like the bike and it meets your needs you got a good deal.
If you like it, ride it and enjoy it. Who cares what you paid for it....
wassup8687... I think I know that background in your pic. Is that AH1 on your left as your heading north on RT 12? If it is, I've stopped there a time or two.
Well you got the best RKC there is, so right off the bat your doing well!
If you really want to know, more information is needed. Was it $12,500 out the door? What Rineharts? Here, in my area of NY, you'll be paying 7% sales tax, and Rinehart TDs can set you back a $1,000 from dealer. So 12,500 isn't a bad deal. I don't know the tax in your state. If it was $12,500 plus that stuff it might be a little high, but it's hard to find someone that will sell an Anniversary for "book".
I won't say what I paid for mine last August, but I'll tell you it's the best purchase I ever made. I bet you feel the same and that's all that counts.
You are right, they are guide lines. But guidelines that insurance company's go by when determining value. They dont care how much chrome it has or how many add on's it has. A seller cant expect to recoup his money on all the add on's. I could give a $hit less what he paid for it, he's the one that asked though. Bottom line, he paid too much for it. And yes, I ride a brand spankin new Harley. What's that got do do with it? Jealous?
I've read so many posts on here where this guy bashes this or that,Too much for tires or the wrong kind, crappy mufflers, bad paint scheme, etc, etc and they're the guys that ride "brand spankin new Harleys" Do nothing to them, including oil changes, everything that's on them was installed buy the dealership before they ever drove off the lot.But they're the 1st to chime in saying what somebody did was wrong. Not saying this applys to you....just sayin.
Jealous?? naw.... we've considered it a few times but we like what we have, like doin my own wrenchin, personalizing it our own way.To me,that's hard to do on a new 25 grand bike and put another 5 grand in add ons.Especially when it depriciated 5 grand just driving off the lot.
