I recently had an auxilliary power outlet installed on my Road King. On a trip, using my cruise, cellphone plugged into the outlet, I accidently hit the horn and blew a fuse. The point of all this is that I want to add a dragonfly fairing to the bike. I'm afraid that when I plug the fairing in and use the radio, i will blow another fuse. What can I do to prevent this? Can I just put a larger fuse in the bike or do i have to upgrade the whole fuse block?
Here's a picture of the accessory fuse box I put in. It can hold 4 separately fused circuits. In this pic Im using a lead wire with a built in fuse socket. I'm using tie wraps to secure it. everything around it is plastic as well as the seat bottom. The adapter easily fits between the frame, also the horizontal shelf behind and on top of the battery, either side covers, of if you want to get crazy, you could put it in a small box in one of your side bags or trunk.
I removed my tether connector from my battery and will be relocating it here. This will also be home for the connection for an in trunk mounted cig lighter, and a second amp.

Hi,
I run an aftermarket fairing on my 07 RK with no problems. It has a 200w stereo and an extra power outlet to charge my ipod.
I'd check your horn first OR where your new auxillary is fed from ......
