I have the Biketronics BT1002 adapter kit, and it is for Sony radio. After looking at the Sony radio choices, I do not like any of them. I have seen a few Pioneer radios that I really like, and would like to know if there is some kind of modification I could make to the BT1002 to make it work with a Pioneer (or Alpine) radio.
I know that they make a BT1005 adapter that is universal for other radios (Uses a dial switch to adjust for other brands), I should have bought that, but I didn't. Does anyone know what the differences between the Sony and the Pioneer handlebar control setup?
I placed a call into Tech support today and got a recording and a full mailbox....yikes.
I made the same mistake,Biketronics took it back and i pd the difference for the universal model. I ended up with an Alpine marine unit after going thru 2 Sony marine units in 1 yr.
