Have a 2010 ultra limited with 9,000 mi. Stock except for factory download that is suppose to domsomething not sure what, anyway, after a long highway run when I come down to stop the bike has one hell of a knock at idle until I run it a little down the road OR crack the idle up a little. Eventually it goes away until the next time it runs down the highway again. Been to dealer and no responce other than when they put the new moco download in. definitely sounds like it is on the left side of bike. Anyone else had this or heard of it????

 

I have the same problem with my 2011 Ultra Limited makes the knocking sound exactly like you describe it. Brought the bike to the dealer and of course it was not knocking even when they took it for a ride, comes and goes drives me nuts. I hope there is an answer to this.

 

Is it internal like a rod knocking? If so- WARRANTY TIME!
If it's external check exhaust system attaching hardware (especially rear muffler bolts where they attach to bike) and check motor mounts for excess play...

 

pretty sure it is internal on the left side. Done most everything I can think of,, gas,plugs,chevcked bolts and mounts. Just odd that it goes away that simply. The bike runs great. My fear is I had noise on left side with my 07 and at 35,000 the comp came apart. Ihave extended warranty but if this is an issue I would want it fixed before it goes. Thye knew (moco)m about the issue my 07 had a long time befroe it went and they did nothin about the noise before it went. Not bitchin just checkin to see if it's out thereon the 103"s. If so I will find a way to get my dealer to address it. thanks
