Default 2010 FLHX Sundowner Seat Problem

Installed sundowner seat on my 10 Street Glide and the two frame mount seat rests held on by T40's are wearing a hole through the vinyl.

I know it's on the bottom, no one will see....annoying as hell!

Anyone had this problem before?

If the vinyl continues to tear you will have an issue. Try padding the mount areas or seat contact areas to stop the sharp edge from cutting into the seat.

Here you go. No Holes but what is that screwed in the top of your frame? see all I have is two open thread holes with nothing in them and you have some sort of clips or brackets that seem to be the culprit.

Those 2 pcs. on each side of the frame are to help keep your stock seat from moving back & forth.

No not necessarily. Service bulletin M1273 explains the reasons for the bumper kits on 09 and 10 FLHX and FLTRX bikes with seats and damaged rear fenders

They seem to be the reason he has holes in his Sundowner.

Are these Service bulletins public Knowlegde and Viewable anywhere for type/modle/year Scoot?
