Default Street Glide lighting question

Hi guy's I'm new here so forgive me if I make a mistake.
Today I put the Aux. Break Light module on the bike, then I started checking things out, the brightness and all.
I noticed that the license plate light does not light when in "running Light" mode, But the license plate light does come on when
the "Break Lights" are applied.[IMG][/IMG].

I double checked this without the new module and same thing happens.

Anybody notice this on other StreetGlides, or ya think I got somethin wrong here?

PS.... Not so sure I like this particular module anyway - its the Harley one -- and the running light contrast is all wrong.

that is strange that is acts the same way without the Harley module. I just checked mine to make sure and my license plate light is on when the ignition is turned on. Even when I hit the brakes it stays on. Stock and with my Kuryakyn tail light kit.

Sounds like there's something wrong with the module. I installed the kit on my SG and when I saw your post went and double checked mine. Everything works fine. I used Harley P/N 69462-06. Harley says it will not fit with the Bullet rear turn signal bar due to DOT regulations. It fits, there's more lights on the back and I think it looks cool. The DOT can KMA on this one.

I found the problem, The light bar above the plate was wired wrong-or the pin was in the wrong connector, I should say.
Switched the pins to the correct holes in the connector and now the light works as a running light ,not a break light.

Default RE: Street Glide lighting question

I also bought 69462-06. Where do I attach the module. Is it the wire underneath the seat behind the battery.

I have the adjustable backrest and THAT wire runs underneath the base. The right side is strap tied and the left side looks very snug underneath, is the connertor that long or are there two. If two, which one do I seperate and attach the module to.

Sorry for all the ?s, but the instructions is for the Softail and I do not want to spend a lot of time removing the base of the backrest. Can someone attach a pic of the module installed.

Thanks in advance
