Get a pre 07' for better gearing and take the 88" out to 95" w/ SE 203 cams. This will run circles around a stock 96" or 103". The gear ratio's on the 07' and 08' suck and will need to be changed but, why spend money on that? Having had an 09' you won't like the gearing on those years. JMO
I have this set up and while it won't exactly run circles around a 96" it is a bit faster. This set up also requires the revs be kept up. I am always running a gear lower than others I ride with just becayse the bike really hates low rpms. No biggie but does burn a bit more fuel and I know a lot of guys like the sound of low lopey rpms. If you like to keep the revs low, this is not the set up for you.
