I vote for the poor circumcision, so while you are resting your hand, oh never mind. Anyway I went to get a cruise on my street glide for the same problem and found the limited had one already. It does help alot but also happens in pucker situations and when i drink alot the night before. APARRENTLY THAT IS NOT GOOD FOR OLD PEEPS AND MAKES YOUR BLOOD FLOW POORLY. Sorry for the cap lock but goes to show that I might have poor circulation tommorow. Anyway I have carpel and pucker too much and this and that so somedays are worse than others. Have found not to grip thighter than you would other parts and a cruise is good. Peace, Davis
I am impressed with a good PT. My problems are from a bad neck which is fusing itself over the years due to worn out links. The best thing to relieve my symptoms is traction. I have a harness contraption that pulls up my head and gives me relief. It uses pullies and about 25lbs. of weight and hooks up with a door in the house.
I get numbness in my right hand. I am able to keep it at bay if I occassionally strum my fingers on the brake lever.
Key --- I move my fingers over the lever, change the grip from "straight" like a baseball bat to "handshake" like a golf club - Frequently - before symptoms develop. And more times than not, they just don't develop.

I totally know what he meant (probably one of those auto spell-checkers), but that was friggin' hilarious. Glad I didn't have a mouth full of coffee.
I think the answer is you need to be 25 again, Remember all the problems you had then, of course none involved pain, tingling, or numbness in your right hand.
I had the same problem for 20 years and finally went to a (hand) dr who confirmed I had carpel tunnel. 2 surgeries later it is no longer an issue. go to a dr and see if you have carpel tunnel or not. if you do only have a skilled dr do the repair. both my hands were fixed over the winter.
When riding my right hand (especially my right thumb) gets numb. This is true if I'm using cruise or not when my hands are on the bars. I thought that maybe I was holding the grip too tightly, but that cannot be the case if it's happening when the cruise is on and I'm barely holding the grip.
Does anyone have any ideas? Would higher bars help this out?
Thanks,
mikebaby
These replies are great! Gloves, grips, different bars, carpal tunnel, physical therapy ............. bwaaaahahahaha!!!!!!! Save your self a bunch of money & go spend 10 bucks on one of those throttle jockey things that you put on your right grip. This happens to everybody!
