Default Wheel Fitment Question

I want to change out the laced wheels on my 2011 Road King Classic to the Slotted Six-Spoke Textured Chrome wheel pictured below.

The HD accessory site shows that the wheel is available for the front on '09 and above FLHRC models, but not the rear. However, the rear wheel is availabe for '00-'08 FLHRC bikes. Why HD would offer a wheel for only the front makes no sense to me. But that's another issue.

The model years for the wheel is described here. If you look up the wheel for 2011 FLHRC bikes, it only talks about the front wheel, not the rear.

In any event, my question is what has changed to prevent the rear version of the wheel from fitting the '09 and above FLHRC bikes? In other words, what is the fitment issue that would prevent someone from using that rear wheel?

I can't tell you the exact reason...I would guess it is because the 2009 model year touring bikes went to a 180 rear tire...The wheel is wider than previous years.

Hmm ... That makes sense. I hadn't thought about the tire width differences. Thanks.

Why really worry about the back? Honestly u can barely see the back one. Most people won't even notice the back doesn't match.

True, but I'm a perfectionist. It would eventually drive me nuts knowing my back wheel doesn't match the front.

The PO of my bike put a laced front wheel on but left the back one mag... not one person has mentioned it, and since I already know it's not the prettiest bike on the street, I don't much care.

I'm finding more and more evidence that the font end was messed up as some point, though.
