Fuel Problem 06 EGC
I have what appears to be a fuel problem with my 06 EGC. It has a PCIII, HD duel headers, Thrush slipons, Stage III kit. When I crest a hill, it will sometimes sputter, not backfire and not die. Most times it idles fine when stopped. It accelerates just fine and when I'm riding on flat streets at at 20 or 30 rpms it often "coughs," but if I crank the throttle, it accelerates without a problem. Whether is is cold or hot doesn't matter. I've changed plugs and plug wires, new air filter and ran a couple of tanks of injector cleaner. It is more prevalent when I get below 1/4 tank of gas. HD has done all the service up to 40K miles. I'm not sure if they changed the fuel filter at 25K like the manual recommends.
Is there anything else I should check before I dig into the fuel filter change. I'm not wanting to go though all that nonsense.
Thanks, Stacy

I would definitely find out if the fuel filter has been changed. I changed mine at 27k and it was really dirty. Also an easy thing to check and clean is the IAC hole behind the air cleaner. This can get clogged up with gunk and really affect the fuel/air mixture at idle.
