Does any know what type of nut is on the back of the saddle bag lock? One of mine fell off and the tongue (thing that locks) fell off too. I can see the other one but I am clueless as to what type it is. The service manual doesn't have it in there.

Take the assembly out, go to Home Depot, and play with their nuts until you find the right size or someone calls you a pervert.

 

same thing happened to me. went to the local HD dealer. had the catch in stock and ordered the nut. something like 3 bucks. total. ordered extras for future mishaps.
