My dealer tried to pull the same thing...said they have had lots of problems with PC-V's, have pulled them off bikes, blah blah blah, and tried to sell me the SERT for a lot more $$. Needless to say I just called FuelMoto and got the PC-V with their map. It just needed a slight tweek to get rid of some decel pop. The bike runs great.
Somehow I'm thinking the dealers either make more money with the SERT or don't know how to tune the PC-V.

From my experience, doing one or the other is usually fine. I did slip-ons and gutted my cat at the same time, but it's definitely running way too lean now. If I were to add an A/C... I shudder to think what my engine might do. I've got a PC-V and FM A/C on order right now.
By the way, for what it's worth, I have the Fuel Moto Jackpot slipons and they are EXACTLY what I was looking for: more "Harley"-like sound, louder, good looking. They're not so loud that I can't hear my radio (I have however had to turn my radio up one extra notch on the highway, just personal preference). They really do sound amazing though. I like em alot more than my buddy's Rush slipons.
Thanks for the info. Mine seems to be running lean and hot now. I understand richening up the mixture will cool off the exhaust some. I don't want to take a chance of it running leaner by adding a breather without a fuel module.
Been on a 4 hour ride today., Love the S&S SPO's deep throaty roar but quiet just the same.
Map that Keith @ FuelMoto sent me seams perfect. Bought the FM Stage 1, a/c Jackpots and PCV. Thought that the Jackpots were a little too loud, swapped them for the SPO's on the missus's bike, she's happy and I like the deep rumble.
Asked FM if I needed a remap, seeing that I changed the mufflers, if I did, would like to lean it out from 2200-3000 rpm.
Map they sent me, could not feel any differance, got 46-47mp today. Yes she does guzzle gas when you open it up, makes great mileage cruising.
No idea of Hp/Tq readings, not going to get it dyno'd. Pulls like a tractor, gets great milelage and sounds great.
Give FM a call, well worth the $$$ spent, if I do anything else, new map will be emailed within 3-5 days.
