I am upgrading the swingarm on my 88 FLH to 02 Touring that has 1" axle.
Do I have to change to a later wheel or can I change out bearings to suit 1"axle.
It seems the popular upgrade is the round spoke wagon wheel which means I will have odd wheels and will have to modify the rear brakes as well.
Any ideas....

I just did one this week, you will have to get a 02 or newer wheel, if you get a 00-01 wheel, you will have to ream out the wheel to fit the bearing spacer. best to upgrade your brake caliper to one inch also. your old wheel will not work and no one has a bearing kit for them. also used the Sta-bo kit for using a new style swing arm with the 5/8 swing arm shaft
