Default 2005 electra glide classic

hello guys i was just up to americade and but a set of american customs mufflers for myy bike put them on and they sound great but when i let off the throttle i get alot of popping and farting am i going to take it to a dealer and have them remap it thanks for the help .

..that sound usually indicates a lean condition on the idle circuit...when you let off the throttle the bike goes into idle mode and feeds what it thinks is enough gas for a smooth idle...if it is too lean..it will pop a lot...putting those mufflers on is now allowing more air flow through the engine...and in turn the engine is looking for more gas...

...a remap might cure it...but if you are going to be keeping this bike, and plan to maybe do engine work later like cams etc..you would be better off installing some sort of fuel-management system, otherwise known as a "tuner". You should have a "high-flow" air cleaner, a Tuner, and free-lowing mufflers. This is known as a "Stage-One"...once you have those installed, then you get your bike "Dyno-Tuned". This will fine-tune your fuel system to make the engine run as smooth as possible. Total cost? about $800 since you already have the mufflers...($150 for air cleaner, about $350 for Tuner, and about $300 for the Dyno Tune)...
