First off, I love the wind, its a big part of why I ride. Until I was 40 I never rode with a windsheild. Then I got the T-Sport with the factory adjustable windsheild, lay it down in town and lift her up on the highway, about as good as it gets. Now that I'm 50 and of average height 5'10 1/2". With the Limited, I relax on the highway and look well below the top and in town , I sit up straight and have a clear veiw over the top. Mind you, I wear a half helmet. No problems at all with the wind. Don't think I"ll ever change it.
I open the fairing deflectors when it is hot but close them to smoke or when I get tired of the buffeting. When they are closed, the only real wind is from below the batwing coming over the tank.
That damn gap between the lowers and batwing is my only problem.

Fork deflectors will handle that for you.
I put the biggest shield Harley makes on my SG and the buffeting is gone. I still get plenty of air/wind from around the sides of the fairing and over the tank but it's not rattling my goggles.
If we're talking about aerodynamics, the bike is plenty aerodynamic...it's the rider that changes the way the bike resists the wind.

Ditto X 10
And I do not think there are any fork deflectors for the UC EG with lowers - anyone?
This is my first bagger, and just having a fairing and a little windshield makes me feel like I could ride 2,000 miles a day.
I did change out the windshield to a 10" Windvest, it makes a difference. But I still get this reverse type buffeting that will tear sunglasses right off my face. Because of that, I've switched to goggles when touring. Minor details, I'm still happy as hell.

Yes the Harley fork wind deflectors will work with lowers; I have them on my bike. You may have to bend the fork deflectors just a bit to clear the lowers at full lock. I bent mine just a slight bit and have full clearance. And yes the fork deflectors make a huge difference with buffeting.
