Default brake switch

I have an 09 streetglide and the brake light comes on at times and I have to flick the rear brake pedal in order for it to go out. Now it has started to not go on when I push rear brake pedal. Is this the rear brake switch going bad or possibly air in line? pedal feels fine and front brake works fine.

Switch fails often. Remove it and take it to NAPA. Don't tell em it's from a Harley. About 8$. At the dealer they are about 19$

I would bet on the switch. Unplug it and use a continuity meter across the 2 terminals and find out if they are open or closed when applying the rear brake.
