did mine this morning. Not bad watch the weather seal on the radio. dont over tighten the fairing bolts like the dealer did mine. (only person to have removed my fairing) Also they left the dang locking collar off!!!! may have been my issue all along. Pisses me off. 32grand on a bike and the service does this. Oh well I used to praise their service dept. now i know they set me up for failure. It will all work out in the end.

The newer bikes like my wifes 2010 SG Trike and my 2010 RK don't have the locking collar. Different setup now!

First time I did mine I reused the lock collar and when I torqued the nut it turned the lock downward tab right out of the hole. I hack-sawed it and made another tab and it worked that time. Got me another one next trip to the dealer. One use roughs the face and it tends to stick to the nut as you tighten it. How does the new system lock the nut?

It is a nut on top of the adjusting nut. Once you set the adjusting nut, you torque the top nut. The Dealer claims it works better. You have to be careful with the adjustment not to get it too tight because it will change slightly when you Torque the top nut. I had the Dealer do my wifes under warranty. I went home and did my 2010 RK myself. Much less work without the Batwing.
