Default adjust steering head bearings??

how hard or involved a process is this? DIY or dealer?

GOOGLE is your friend my friend. Tons of information out there on this. Looks pretty straight forward. I did it on a Honda VTX and it was pretty easy.

im finding a lot of info out there but none say how much of the inner or outer fairing have to come off. anyone??

Batwing Outer Fairing has to be removed to get to the neck bearings.
Its not a job for a novice only because the stem & nut adjustment is located under the radio inside. Its just a pain to do.

Id recommend that if you have never done this, take it to a shop.

Sometimes paying the money is easier than fighting a job for a long time.

But of course, just my opinion, some here will disagree.......

Probably be a good idea to buy a service manual to find out what all has to come off. Or take it to the dealer and probably pay 2 hours labor

im lookin at the pain in the *** factor. if im piecing this together right from all ive heard so far its remove outer fairing and use a 1 1/2 crows foot.i just dont wanna play with that inner fairing.

I think i can attempt this myself with really not issues... I will have the fairing off when i install my new Boom CB kit...
