Since I do not have one just guessing here but did you see the video of the guy using the ball nose allen wrench to remove the radio in notgrownup's post above. He like just stuck the wrench up there and the next frame out came the radio.

Time lapse photography....Even with those ball end socket wrenches, those two bolts in the front are a bi##h to get out and in....

You can fashion your own tool out of a long flatblade or a piece of welding rod. Snap on makes a tool that is not too awful expensive and works great for this, Snap-on NBAT1
I think it's under $40

Trust me...getting the screws OUT is the easy part. Wait until you start trying to get them back in....then, you'll see what we've been talking about.

If your handlebars are not straight (one side closer to you the other pushed out), I guess that means the forks are not straight, could you straighten them by loosing this bolt? Kind of like loosing the neck on an old string ray bike and turning the bars to where you want them.

I did remove outter fairing and radio. Not a big deal, I have the 1 1/2 socket for the nut. I used a snap on ball allen wrench and a small wrench for leverage and the radio mount bolts came out no problem. A little piece of duct tape on the allen keeps the bolt from going strange un recoverable places. Good info about me not having the locking nut i was Pissed. Over it now thanks to this forum. I used a long nosed punch pin to adjust the tension on the neck bearing. Went on a 400+ mile test ride yesterday evening to check it out. all works well. MUCH Less WOBBLY motorcycle at speed.
