Default Wow...Can't Believe It!!

Dealer did a 1,000 mile service on my new Ultra. It runs great, all of the fluid levels are dead on, and there isn't a scratch or ding on it. Kinda freak'n me out!

Isn't that the way it's supposed to work?

I expect a professional who works on Harley's everyday to know what they are doing. I would only take my bike to a dealer after I check with locals about their rep. I am taking my bike in for it's 5k to Al Muth HD, in Black River Falls. After several people I met recommended them. I posted on HDF, asking if anybody knew about them. I got some great recommendations from HDF members.

That's how it's supposed to happen, but finding dealers like that is a difficult thing. I only trust one service department, and that's not where I bought my two bikes.

that is the way i sent bikes out after servicing them..had lots of people take their bike for a few days,do god only knows what, then bring it back and accuse me..had a guy take his bike down the road,pour engine oil all over the pipes,ride it for two days to bake it on and blue them, and come back wanting a new set of exhaust,the half qt of oil left over was still with the bike.the other tech was with me wiping it down before it was picked up.forget about the bikes that came in scratched,i document the damage,take pictures before i touch it,then get reamed for scratching the bike after its in my bay

I do all of my service, but whenever I take my bike in for warranty work, the dealer goes over the bike very carefully before and after to make sure any damage is documented, plus they give the bike a wash.

Nah-- That can't be right! Better take it back and make sure they:

leave something off;
finger tighten a nut so it comes loose later;
over-tighten the drive belt;
get the fluid levels wrong; or
let them tell you "they all do that" before you leave.....
