Oh yes it does. That is how I learned all the operations of the radio, intercom,cb,weather band and all switch settings. It explaines it quite completely...
Show me where is covers the navigation/phone volume when using the NIM? Not listed. Just looked and nothing is listed. As for NAV they only list this:
"NAV is not used on current models. If an Advanced Audio System GPS positioning module (no longer sold) is installed on the motorcycle, see the Advanced Audio GPS Navigation System Owner's Manual (76402-06) for operation."

Intercom and radio volume are different adjustments. Turn the radio down and you can listen to just the intercom. Also the center position on speakers switch runs radio thru the external speakers. So just turn the radio down to do what you are asking about.
My wife and I were able to put the volume of the headset speakers down till we could not hear the music and still speak normally. We don't use the OEM intercom anymore, but we did for a few years.
Position Up: All sound goes via headset
Position center: Radio to speakers, Intercom/CB to Headset
Position down: All sounds go to Speakers
question - on my 2010 Ultra there are 2 settings..Anyways is there a way to listen to the radio through the headphones + speakers at the same time ?
thanks Greg
[QUOTE=itsaw0rkinpr0gre$$;8464095]Yes. The Speaker switch is a three position switch, move it to the center. This will put radio volume in the speakers and the intercom in the headset.

There is seperate volume control for Audio and Intercom/CB[/QUOTE
when I am talking on the intercom the music lowers. Then turns back up when I stop. Is there a way to disable that feature
