I'm someone who has always done my own bike work and upgrades... At the same time because the Road King is my first bike that has EFI, ABS, I'm feeling a bit stumbled...
So #1 I'm wondering what hardware is needed to do my own mapping... #2 Also wondering if the dealer really has to do the brake bleeding with the ABS.
I've just always had carbs and been able to make adjustments myself.... Thoughts suggestions?
Current setup is a high flow air cleaner, Stage 1 HD map, and Wild Hogs slip-ons /w baffles.... So an example of why I woudl want to quickly change my own map would be if I were to desire to pull my baffles for an adventurously loud day.... In the longer run I intend to install a hyperchager and true duals, another more realistic change that I don't want to visit the dealer for...

Well I am assuming you already have a tuner or the download since you have aftermarket "stuff" on there. So, as always it depends. If I were you I would buy the Dobeck TFI if you have the download and you can tinker to your heart's content. Can't help you on the ABS....
I just did my own brake flush on my '09 with ABS. I have an air operated Mighty-Vac which makes it a lot easier but I had no problems doing the job. Of course, if you're not careful and suck air into a master cylinder..... Also, you should push the caliper cylinders in before you start so that you actually flush the entire system.
