Default Code B1154

Hey forum, I have a CVO so I had bled the clutch a few days ago. Went riding today and I got this code b1154, the scoot will only start in neutral. I check the book and it said, it's the clutch switch. Where the hell is this clutch switch? We have the hydraulic clutch so is in the master cylinder? any help,

Trey

Trey,

The left handlebar switch housing includes a clutch interlock switch. When the clutch lever is pulled in, the switch closes allowing the bike to start if it's in gear. The switch itself is very similar to the brake switch in the right handlebar housing.

The code is thrown because of a problem with the Hands Free Security Module, a short in the switch, or a short in the handlebar wiring. Info is from the 2010 HD Electrical Diagnostic Manual. The EDM has test protocols to identify the problem among the three alternatives given, as well as the solution.

Those clutch switches fail more than they should. Thats where I would be looking.
