Riding in the rain in the northeast isn't like riding in the rain in FLA. It's usually cold especially with holey gloves! And the waterproof does reduce the pruny looking fingers after hours in the rain.

I wear Ironclad "Cowboy" which are washable leather or Mechanix Wear "Original" gloves. Both are work gloves.

I prefer the unlined leather Gauntlet gloves. Not to hot in the warmer weather, keeps the wind and bugs out of your jacket sleeves, helps prevent some road rash and if it get's to cold to wear them 40 degrees or below...it's time to get on the HDForums web page.

Fox Creek Leather makes an excellent pair of ElkSkin gloves. They stay soft after getting wet and are surprisingly warm in winter even though they're unlined. It's thick heavy leather but very soft and pleasant to wear.
