I went with black on my vivid black sg. Blends in that way.

Had the same questions before my purchase of that hardware. Found that going to a couple of bike rally's and looking at the 1,000's of bike's it helped me with my decision, after all it isn't cheap. Have fun with it and you will love the docking hardware.

I went with chrome. I really like the contrast.

Vivid black and chrome were just made for each other.

I had the same decision but decided on black fender struts, chrome docking hardware and a black pwdercoated rack. I originally had the black dock but changed to chrome because I liked the contrast

Just added a chrome one on my bike today with other add ons like floorboards, highway pegs and new grips.

was going to say all chrome then saw booch's ride, gotta say the contrast is very clean looking.
