Default RK handlebar question

OK, on another thread there was talk of switching the stock RK handlebars with the Heritage bars. I noticed on my RK that I have to reach a little more than I like. I mentioned that when I bought the bike and the Parts guy said you can put the Heritage bars on. At first he thought they were a quick swap then he said you had to replace the cables and extend the wires. I wasn't going to pay dealer $ so we just "rolled" the bars when I picked it up.
It's better but if I had my choice I would love Heritage bars on my RK.
So, my question is, do you have to install longer cables and extend the wires for the Heritage bars or not? And, does anybody have the part number for the chrome ones? Thanks as always.

56902-08 Heritage bars with notches for TBW. No cables, etc. needed.

No need to change cables. I have the heritage style bars on my Road King.

Default 09 Road King

09 Road King here. NO CABLES OR LINES required when changed to the Heritage Style bars! Yes, the bars did make the seating position more relaxed but IMO it didn't go quite far enough. I'm 5'10" and I find myself for want of further back, possibly 12" apes or more.

Dawg is right. Direct swap no cables wires or nada. I did it and it was the best mod I did to my RKC.

Did it to my 2011 RKC, no cables or wires required. Much more comfortable ride and did away with back and shoulder pain (I have bum shoulders). I am 5'8".

I had Heritage bars on my RK without changing cables, but didn't like the look, and had much vibration to the fingers. To me, it was worth the expense to go with the apes I currently have (16's) for more comfort, better looks, and believe it or not, much less vibration. I think the vibes are spread out more or something like that. I just notice my fingers tingle much less. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I also get the tingling with the stock setup, switching to heritage bars with ISO grips hoping this will help.

Thanks guys. Now that I know the Heritage bars are kind of "plug & play" I am going to try them 1st. I really like the RK's that I have seen with apes so eventually after the Heritage bars, after the exhaust, intake, and tuner, I will probably install some apes.
