I live within 1/4 mile of Rt7 in Hot Springs Village, which is a very large retirement/golf community. Rt7 is pretty nice between Jessieville and Ola. Stop at Nimrod Dam. Then go north through Ola and visit Petit Jean state park (the scenic overlooks are very good). The main road between Mena and Hot Springs is nothing special. .
If you ride Hwy 7 North be sure to stop at the HUB in Marble Falls, Ar.(just south of Harrison). You won't be sorry(www.hubinfo.com). Best steaks in Scooters Restuarant, great folks to deal with, Debbie and Randal are motorcycle people and the HUB is motorcycle central for the Harrison area.
All the above plus Mount Nebo... I've been up Mt. Nebo twice this year and like it better than Mt. Magazine .... Your climbing something like 1800 feet in about 2 miles, pretty aggressive. I get a kicknout of it.
Scenic 7 is a nice, easy ride. 21 ("The Highlands") is fast sweepers. 123 ("The Arkansas Dragon") is extremely technical and demands attention. The climb up Mt.Nebo is some of the tightest switchbacks I've ridden, but the view from the top is nice. There are very few bad roads in Arkansas; it's a rider's playground.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh let's keep this a secret...
+1 on Ozark Cafe in Jasper.
Google Push Mountain also and there is ................... you don't have enough time.
Welcome to Arkansas..

IMPORTANT! I just did the Mena run from Dallas.... It's a dry county so get beer in Oklahoma on your way. Only one restaurant in Mena serves alcohol, an Eye-talian joint called Spirelli's or Spinelli's or something.
Good place for breakfast is right on Main Street across from Big Bear Cycles (or similar). Can't miss it....
And if you are in the area on a Friday or a Saturday (only does BBQ those days) there is a GREAT little BBQ joint about an hour out of Mena on Hwy 59 in Hodgen, OK called "End of the Trail". Cheap beer, owned by a super cool biker and his wife.... it's a real biker bar. You have got to have their Jalapeno corn. It is worth the trip by itself. Seriously...
Just got back from a 7 day trip to Ark/Mo and have been a total of about 20 times to the Ark area so know most of the roads pretty well. I am not sure when you are leaving but I also live in the Tomball area (Rosehill) and if you would like to get together I can maybe give you some pointers and ideas. If so, let me know.
