Was looking to get an extra set of RK windshield bracket hardware so I have a shield for "regular" riding and a shield for long trips.
Checking Craigslist I found a windshield for sale. The shield itself is scratched but what I want/need is the hardware. What's a fair price? He's looking for $125. Didn't price out new but I assume double that at least. I figured someone MUST have gone down the same path before. Searching came up windshield related posts but not specific to my question.
Anybody been here, done this?
Thx
I'm thinking that might be a really good price depending on condition. I've been playing around with that thought too and new ones that I've seen are almost 300. For now, I'm swapping out shields on the same bracket. Not too big of a deal, but a lot more work and more time consuming.
Thanks.
I just put on a shield I got from you. I love it and so does the ole lady ehhm I mean "passenger". Get a bit more buffeting but I expected that. My old shield was large enough to stop a train.
She has only seen it on and hasn't rode on the back yet. I am thinking ahead that she may want the taller, larger shield for 500+ mile trips. I maybe wrong...
I knew I should'a got that one I saw on CL awhile back !! I been thinking the same thing about another shield. I trimmed my stock'r by nearly 3" and like it allot now that I can see over it. I swap seats out and may find a 2" trim would be the ticket. For me & her. Just sayin
