King, you went about this the wrong way! I have a lesser pair of Ohlins from Howard, but my approach was telling my wife I was improving her comfort, perched out the back there. Not only did my system work, but so do the shocks! We've had two long tours of 2,500+ miles and she has declared them a complete success. No more bottoming out, plus a general improved level of riding comfort.

Best of luck and I look forward to hearing how you both get on with them. 'We're' looking forward to Ohlins cartridge fork inserts before too long!

hehehe I test rode the shocks with the wife on the bike, went over to Howards garage with the wife on the back of the bike, just before we got there I asked how ya like the shocks, she responded positively. Once there asked Howard how much $ asked wife how much $ she had on her and left with the shocks. This was for my Dyna, now for the real question, #6 or #3 for the Ultra?

Brilliant, I think I'll pick up a set of Ohlins for the RK and give 'em to my wife on her birthday.

Pleading comfort is not a bad strategy, but I have found safety to be a very viable defense.

That's difficult. The #6 were in development when I bought my #3, which was a relief as I don't think I could have stretched the comfort line with my wife that far! Also I am holding my breath for the cartridge fork conversion.
